What should your
website cost?

Four quick answers tell you the tier your project sits in and the price it starts from. The exact fixed number takes a 30-minute call, and once agreed it never moves.

The honest bit

How this estimate works

Every project I take on lands in one of three tiers, and this calculator sorts yours the same way I would. Presence starts from £2,500 and covers a bespoke marketing site: design and code written by hand, copy drafted for you so you never face a blank page, a mobile-first build that passes Core Web Vitals, and your own portal login so you can watch the whole thing take shape. Conversion starts from £5,000 and is everything in Presence plus the thinking: a strategy and structure workshop, conversion-focused design and copywriting, a CMS you own with a training video, technical SEO foundations, and one practical automation or AI feature scoped to your business.

Platform is the third tier, and it is deliberately not priced here. Portals, dashboards, data rooms, online shops and web apps are systems rather than sites. They involve logins, permissions, payments and integrations, and every one of those decisions changes the work involved, so the only honest answer a calculator can give is "scoped individually". The full breakdown of each tier lives on the pricing page, and if you want the wider market picture, including what agencies and freelancers typically charge, I have written up what a website costs in the UK on the blog.

Why you will not get an exact number here

Because an exact number from a form would be a guess dressed up as maths. A real quote depends on things a calculator cannot see: how much of your content already exists, whether your brand is ready to build on, what those integrations actually have to do, and how the site needs to grow after launch. Any tool that hands you a precise figure without a conversation is either padding the number to be safe or planning to revise it later. Neither of those is useful to you.

What this calculator can tell you honestly is which tier your project sits in and where that tier's pricing starts. The word "from" is doing real work: a focused five-page Presence site sits close to the floor, a sprawling one sits above it. The exact figure comes from a 30-minute call, where I can ask the questions a form cannot. You then get one fixed price in writing before anything is built, and it never moves unless you change the brief. For a typical marketing site, the build itself takes around three weeks. If the tier above looks right to you, that call is the obvious next step. If it looks wrong, that is worth a conversation too.
